OPENING THIS WEEK!
Pomona College Seaver Theatre
"The Dragon”
This seventy-five-minute Russian musical fable is written by Yevgeny Schvartz and directed by Professor Betty Bernhard. Lavishly produced with professionally designed sets and costumes, live music, and a cast of over thirty performers, it includes a greedy dragon, a knight who saves the heroine, plus magical animals who help the hero plus an aerial battle. In addition to many humorous incidents and lively Russian folk dances,” The Dragon” explores the important subject of personal and social freedom. “The Dragon” is performed by Claremont College students and it is appropriate for children First Grade upwards and of interest to older children and adults as well.
November 20-22 at 7:00 p.m. and November 22 and 23 at 2:00 p.m.
